Time Capsule....
The Bulls Head received a new set of clothes early in 2007. We spent £600,000 on its development to give the business a new direction in life.
To mark this occasion, we burried a time capsule during the opening ceremony on Friday 25th May 2007.
The time capsule is a cylinder measuring 2.5 feet tall with a 12 inch diameter and it is filled with all sorts of photographs and oddments which reflect Repton and our society today.... things which mark our time and place in history.
At the top of the capsule is a poem which was written by
Pete the Poet:
Hello my friends who have opened this tube, I hope life is treating you well.
Inside this capsule are many things, a story we hope to tell.
So we asked the people what should we enclose and I hope we have chosen right
The objects inside are of our life now and we hope they shed some light.
On 25th May we burried this capsule, knowing one day it would be found,
Read on dear frends this is history you see, burried in this ground.
Your life I am sure is different than ours, but I hope the same values you hold.
We left this trophy for you today so his-story could be told.
Pete circa 2007 W.C.H.
